Notes to Applicants
- City University of Hong Kong coordinates all registrations for the Teachers Update Course (TUC).
- Applicants should provide true and accurate information including HKID number, email address, phone and fax numbers and school names. Incomplete or inaccurate information may result in failure in registrations or errors in Attendance Certificates.
- The University will have the discretion of selecting applicants to attend TUC sessions. Places in the same session will be allocated to as many schools as possible, in order to maximize the impact of TUC on teaching and learning in Hong Kong. In the selection process, priority will be given to in-service secondary school teachers. Early registrations will have priority.
- Between application and the announcement of results, the University may communicate with applicants by email. Applicants should ensure that their email addresses are valid with sufficient mail box storage to receive notices from the TUC Secretariat.
- Successful applicants will be informed by post in early June 2006. If you do not receive a notice by 9 June 2006, you may assume that your application was unsuccessful.
- Participants are requested to arrive at the session venue 15 minutes before a session starts. Participants may be asked to present their HKID cards to verify their identity.
- Applicants should agree to the transfer of their personal information and TUC attendance to the EMB for the purpose of crediting their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Hours. The information provided by applicants will be used solely for the records of TUC, for the credit to CPD Hours maintained by EMB.
- At the end of each session, each participant will be given an Attendance Certificate. The Attendance Certificates will be the evidence of successful completion of the programme and a reference for updating their CPD records at the discretion of their schools.
- The University has the right to reschedule or cancel any TUC session by prior notice to the participants. Sessions will be cancelled without prior notice in case of a Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal
