About TUC
The Teachers Update Course (TUC) provides accessible, stimulating classes geared to the real needs of Hong Kong's secondary school teachers. TUC activities are led by CityU academic and professional staff and are free of charge.

More than 40 sessions will be offered in June and July 2006, and providing subject updates will continue to be a key feature of the courses this year. School principals and teachers will acquire the latest knowledge on a wide range of topics, including Chinese Language, Literature & Culture, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Studies, Engineering Science, Design and Technology, Information Science, Liberal Studies and Accounting, etc .
The theme of TUC 2006 is "Embracing Change". The course aims at helping school teachers and professionals better equipped themselves in face of changing educational environment and teaching pedagogies as well as continual upgrading of personal qualifications. Theme topics include the following:

- Understanding Media Culture and Media Education
- Globalisation and Secondary School Education
- Promoting Teachers' Personal Development
- Updating Subject Knowledge

Apply online from 9 May to 27 May 2006. Successful applicants will be informed by post in early June.
Teachers' attendance in TUC may be counted as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Hours . Attendance Certificates will be given to participants.
