Session Title: An Introduction to Film Narrative

Session Outline: How does a film tell a story? What are the differences between film and fiction? What are the elements we need to pay attention to? How are time, location and character constructed in a film? Participants of this course will watch a couple of short films and, together, see if they can find the answers to the above questions. The goal of this course is to provide secondary school teachers with a fundamental vocabulary concerning film and narrative.
