Session Title: Leading in Times of Adversity

Session Outline: Leadership is all about influencing, motivating and enabling others. In situations of adversity, such as those that arise because of the need for change, leadership is more important than ever. This course will introduce some basic concepts of leadership, and participants will discuss some individual characteristics of followers that may inhibit or facilitate the management of adversity. Finally, ways to effectively manage and lead in times of adversity will be discussed. The course will be interactive and will incorporate experience-sharing by participants, as well as hands-on exercises designed to illustrate key concepts.
