Reputable professionals and business leaders are invited as guest speakers to our annual Teachers Update Course to interact and share with secondary school teachers about real life accounting practices. Speakers will share their experiences and exchange views on issues and challenges facing the industries in concurrent sessions on management accounting, financial accounting, accounting in various industries such as banking, hotels, properties, schools etc. The Department of Accountancy provides state-of-the-art accountancy education with a professional emphasis. By forging close links with the accountancy profession and business community in Hong Kong, the Department has attuned its mission in accounting education and to the requirements of the marketplace.
This forum provides an opportunity for participants to understand the multi-faceted services provided by professional accounting firms including auditing, corporate governance, taxation, corporate recovery, litigation etc. Mr Fan has very strong experience and knowledge about accounting and business in mainland China. Participants will also learn about the issues and challenges facing professional accountants today. This session is particularly useful for career masters and accounting teachers who wish to provide students with state-of-art professional updates.

Work Experience
Mr. FAN Wai Kuen, Joseph graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia in 1980 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant from Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers - "PWC") Sydney office.
Mr. Fan has over 20 years post qualification experience and is experienced in the areas of auditing, business advisory and risk management. He is currently Partner and Head of Risk Assurance Division of RSM Nelson Wheeler, a firm of Certified Public Accountants with some 200 staff in Hong Kong.
Mr. Fan is Member of the Hong Kong Housing Authority and the Hong Kong Housing Society. |
